INTRODUCTION
This test kit uses a unique ltration procedure for determining if there is an
unacceptable level of algae in water. The algae cells are ltered out of the water by
means of a syringe with lter attachment. A yellow-green color on the glass ber
lter indicates algae may be present, since minerals which may also cause coloration
of the water will not be trapped on the lter. The algae collected on the lter is then
subjected to an alcolhol extraction procedure. A yellow to green color in the extract
solution indicates an unacceptable level of algae in the water.
WARNING! This set contains chemicals
that may be harmful if misued. Read
cautions on individual containers
carefully. Not to be used by children
except under adult supervision.
